The holiday season is a time for connection, generosity, and community! At Neyenesch Printers, giving back is a core part of who we are. We’re proud to announce the launch of our 2025 Holiday Food Drive in partnership with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, supporting families across San Diego County who need our help now more than ever.
From now through Monday, December 22, our team, clients, friends, and neighbors are invited to join us in making a meaningful impact this season.
Why This Matters: Hunger Is Closer Than We Think
Hunger affects far more San Diegans than many realize.
According to the San Diego Food Bank:
- 1 in 4 San Diegans (approximately 790,000 people) are nutrition insecure. This includes 202,000 children, 161,000 seniors, and 134,000 people with disabilities.
- The Food Bank feeds 400,000 people every month in partnership with 540+ nonprofit organizations ranging from food pantries and shelters to senior centers and schools.
- Every $1 donated provides 2 meals for someone in need.
These numbers are not abstract, they represent our neighbors, co-workers, military families, and community members navigating the high cost of living in our region.
This is why our support matters.
How You Can Help
There are two simple ways to participate in this year’s Holiday Food Drive:
1. Donate Non-Perishable Food Items (In Person)
We’ve set up a donation bin in our office lobby where you can drop off food Monday–Friday between 9am and 4pm.
Most-needed items include:
- Canned chicken & tuna
- Peanut butter
- Pasta, rice, beans
- Canned vegetables & fruits
- Cereal & oatmeal
- Nuts and seeds
- Canned soups
(No glass jars or homemade items, please.)
These items go directly to Food Bank partners and distribution programs serving families, children, seniors, and active-duty military households throughout the county.
2. Give Through Our Virtual Food Drive
If you prefer to donate online, we’ve also launched a Virtual Food Drive with a goal of $5,000.
